Alberto Gilardino proud of Genoa’s effort vs Roma: “The draw is fair, first half was a struggle.”

Date:

Genoa manager Alberto Gilardino praised his team’s effort in getting a dramatic last second equalizer with Roma.

In the aftermath of Genoa’s 1-1 result at the Ferraris, Gilardino spoke to DAZN.

“First half was a struggle, we suffered a lot, in the second half there was a reaction from the team. I think it’s a fair result.”

“I’m happy for De Winter, he has incredible potential but he must always keep his attention very high.”

“I needed more width and two attackers to fill the penalty area, we could have done better, I didn’t want to risk Malinovskyi due to a problem he had with the national team.”
