Lubbock woman killed in rollover in Floyd County early Sunday morning, says DPS

The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the woman from Lubbock who died in a Sunday morning crash in Floyd County.

According to DPS, 22-year-old Ashlee Breann Stevens was driving a 2016 Nissan Rouge at 3:24 a.m., traveling south on U.S. Highway 62, near mile marker 378 in Floyd County.

That is when Stevens was reported to have driven straight through a curve and into the improved shoulder of the roadway. According to DPS, Stevens lost control of the vehicle and traveled into a side skid on the west side of the roadway, which caused it to roll before coming to a final rest.

Stevens was pronounced dead due to injuries received during the crash. According to DPS, she was not wearing her seatbelt, and road conditions were reported dry, with weather conditions being clear at the time of the crash.
