SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Election day is quickly approaching and SPAR is helping people register to vote.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, the community can visit Valencia Park for a Voter Registration Drive and Family Fitness Fun Day! It’s a two-in-one event to get people registered and to get families outside and active.
“When you come this Saturday you’re going to expect fun, and also an opportunity to register to vote online, as well as exercise and a basketball clinic and a dance clinic hosted by the Shreveport Knights basketball team,” said Shalon Lewis, superintendent of recreation at SPAR.
People will be on hand to offer assistance with the registration process.
“In order to register to vote, you want to go ahead and bring your ID. That’ll be very important. It will be online only, we will not have any paper registration,” said Lewis.
