Best young right backs in EA FC 25

When you first load up Ultimate Team or Career Mode in EA FC 25, it’s unlikely that your first acquisition will be a right-back.

It’s not the most glamorous position in the game but having a good right-back in your side can be the difference between success and failure. After all, who else is going to stop those 95-pace, five-star skill left wingers, eh?

There are some insanely talented right-backs in this year’s game but finding one who is young (in our case, aged 23 or under) is far more challenging. Fortunately, it’s not impossible.

Here are the best young right-backs in EA FC 25 based on a mixture of confirmed ratings, leaks and rumours.

As we’re counting any player who can play right-back as a starting or alternate position, it’s no surprise to see Jeremie Frimpong top the list for players 23 or under. While classified as a right midfielder in EA FC 25, he can play right-back or right wing, with the Dutch international’s explosive pace handy for keeping the likes of Vinicius Junior and Son Heung-min quiet.

Other offensive-minded youngsters include Chelsea‘s Malo Gusto and Borussia Dortmund’s Yan Couto, both of whom are 80-rated. Barcelona‘s Alejandro Balde can also play at right-back on EA FC and his pace could be pivotal in an Ultimate Team setting, while Rico Lewis offers great versatility with a rating of 76 and some impressive stats.

If you’re searching for a more defensive-minded right-back, Odilon Kossounou (81), Wilfried Singo (79) or Eric Garcia (78) may be more suitable options. They’re all centre-backs by trade who have right-back as an alternate position.

Ligue 1 have a fair few options perhaps more suited to Career Mode. Lille duo Tiago Santos and Bafode Diakite are joined by Monaco’s Vanderson on 77 ratings.

When it comes to women’s football, Maya Le Tissier is the standout option. While a centre-back in-game, the Manchester United defender has right-back as an alternate position and a rating of 81.

On the continent, Paulina Krumbiegel (78) and Jade Le Guilly (78) of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain respectively are solid options, with San Diego Wave’s 22-year-old Hanna Lundkvist coming in at 77, too.
