Recruiting analyst says Kentucky has ‘a lot of momentum’ with Caleb Wilson

Date:

There may not be a more popular name in the BBN at the moment than 5-star forward Caleb Wilson.

After taking his official visit to Lexington last weekend, it appears the time spent with the staff and the current team has gotten UK back toward the top of his recruitment as we enter the final stretch.

This week has been filled with plenty of social media flirtation between Wilson and the BBN, which has only contributed to the positive momentum the Cats seem to continue to gain in their pursuit to land the talented forward. Now, we have another strong report that the Cats seem to have made up some ground after this past visit.

Joe Tipton of On3 joined Jacob Polacheck of KSR on his podcast “Here comes the Boom,” and had some very positive things to say about where the Cats stand.

“There’s a lot of momentum in Kentucky’s favor here for Caleb Wilson,” said Tipton.

There is still a ways to go in this recruitment, but it seems like all the right things are lining up in Kentucky’s favor.

With Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno already on board, adding Wilson would be a huge deal for multiple reasons. Not only does it cement Kentucky’s class in the top-five of the recruiting standings in the 2025 class, it also adds an exclamation point to the biggest questions mark surrounding Mark Pope and his staff. Land two top-15 players, and no one should ask again if they can recruit.

Going to be a fun recruitment to follow over the next few months.
