Vote for Upstate high school girls athlete of the week for Sept. 23-29

Here’s your chance to vote for the Upstate high school girls athlete of the week for Sept. 23 – 29.

The candidates are listed in alphabetical order. Multiple votes are allowed. The poll will close at noon Thursday. Last week’s winner was Woodmont volleyball’s Mallory Mizzle. Coaches are asked to submit nominations.

Ava Romansky, Dorman: Romansky shot 35 for medalist honors in a nine-hole golf match as Dorman beat Boiling Springs and Chapman.

Bella Stewart, St. Joseph’s Catholic School: Stewart won the 200 IM and the 400 freestyle at a tri-meet swimming competition.

Katelyn Cox, Blue Ridge: Cox claimed medalist honors at the Greenville County golf tournament with a 1-over par 73.

Lilly Gault Abdella, J.L. Mann: Gault Abdella won the 100 freestyle and the 200 individual medley as Mann’s swim team beat Greenville 179-90.

Marissa Scaletta, T.L. Hanna: Scaletta shot 70 to take medalist honors as the Hanna golf team finished fourth in the Greenwood tournament. She birdied four of the final six holes.

Oliva Roberts, Chesnee: Roberts shot 72 to tie for second place as Chesnee finished third at the Greenwood Invitational golf tournament.

Skyler Jones, Hillcrest: Jones has 10 blocks and 16 kills this season for Hillcrest Volleyball.
