Date:

The future of food sustainability and agriculture is top of mind for Whole Foods CEO Jason Buechel, especially as climate change makes food scarcer and less nutritious. That’s why he’s focusing on Gen Z’s needs; their future consumptions will dictate the future of food companies.

“Over 70% of Gen Z supports climate-friendly agriculture practices,” Buechel explained to Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi on Opening Bid. Furthermore, they’re even willing to pay more for products that are more sustainable, “since it will be in their life-time that these [climate] challenges will be seen.”
