Travel program

We offer travel basketball for girls and boys in Grades 4-8. Players are assigned to teams based on skill level and will compete in the Metrowest league against teams at a similar skill level. Tryouts for the travel teams begin as early as October 7. Players must attend at least one try out to play travel basketball. The tryout schedule is available on the Watertown Youth Basketball Website.

Travel teams practice 1-2 days a week and usually will play their games on Sunday’s. Games will be at home and at other MA towns on a rotating schedule.

In house program

Our In-house program provides girls and boys the opportunity to develop their basketball skills in a fun environment playing against other Watertown kids. There is a separate girls and boys league for grades 4 and 5. There will be one practice for kids in Grades 4-5 and games are played on Saturday’s. Players are assigned to teams based on skill level to ensure teams are of similar skill level and games remain competitive throughout the season. All players are required to attend at least one pre-season clinic for team formation purposes.

There is an additional league for grades 6-8, there are no practices and games are on Saturday’s as well. Players must attend at least one pre-season clinic as well.
