Oct. 3—GRAND FORKS — The Bemidji High School girls tennis team’s undefeated streak has officially extended into the postseason.
After earning a first-round bye thanks to a 23-0 regular season, the Lumberjacks kept the wins coming Thursday evening by defeating Alexandria 4-3 and advancing to the semifinals of the Section 8AA tournament.
Three of the Jacks’ four wins came in singles. Lilly Caron picked up a crucial victory in No. 3 singles, taking down Sam Whaley in a three-set thriller to help propel BHS to the next round of the tournament.
