Illegal street takeover ends in fiery mess in San Fernando Valley

Multiple cars were burned to a crisp after an illegal street takeover in Pacoima early Saturday.

Initial reports indicate that a multi-vehicle fire was reported in the area of Paxton Street and Foothill Boulevard shortly after 4:30 a.m.

Responding police and fire units arrived at the scene to find at least three cars ablaze in the middle of the intersection.

Video shows fire raging through the vehicles; flames also appeared to have spread to a nearby bus stop bench.

All the suspects in the street takeover fled the area, and no arrests were immediately made, according to preliminary information.

No injuries were reported.
