Lamar Jackson throws the TD pass of the year amid 4th-quarter comeback in Cincinnati (video)

Date:

The Baltimore Ravens’ 41-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals was already a 2024 classic, with five straight touchdowns to start the second half. And then, with just over five minutes left in the game, Lamar Jackson threw the sixth.

But he didn’t just throw a touchdown, he recovered his own bobbled snap, threw a pursuer to the ground and whipped a dart to Isaiah Likely.

Check it out above.

The AFC North battle was still anyone’s game at that point, with both teams throwing haymakers and both quarterbacks — Jackson and Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow — having career afternoons. It’s only the first weekend in October, but it feels a whole lot like January.

The ensuing extra point got the Ravens to within three at 38-35 and Justin Tucker would tie the game with a 56-yard FG with 1:40 remaining that would send the game to overtime.

Evan McPherson missed a 53-yard field goal attempt with 4:46 to go in overtime that would have won the game. On the very next play Derrick Henry busted down the left sideline for a 51-yard gain down to the Bengals’ 7-yard line, setting up the winning 24-yard FG from Tucker.
