Adelaide Jernigan is staying in-state.

The consensus national top-100 recruit from Bishop McGuinness committed to N.C. State on Sunday evening. The combo guard chose the Wolfpack over fellow finalists Kentucky and Michigan.

Jernigan enters her senior season with a chance at being a HighSchoolOT four-time all-state pick.

She burst onto the scene as a freshman, making the all-state honorable mention team with 17.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per game as the Villains won the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1A championship.

The Villains repeated the 1A title in Jernigan’s sophomore year, and she was named second team all-state with 18.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.

This past season, Bishop reached the fourth round of the 1A playoffs and Jernigan made her first appearance on the all-state first team with 19.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.8 steals per game on 46-29-83 (FG-FT-3PT) shooting splits.

Jernigan has also spent time in Team USA’s developmental program.

The in-state class of 2025 now has recruits heading to five different ACC programs: N.C. State, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Boston College, and Virginia.
