Out of this trio, Reimer is easily the most notable. The 36-year-old signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Sabres during this off-season with the hope of competing for Buffalo’s backup job. However, he has now been put on waivers, and teams looking for some help between the pipes could consider claiming him. If he clears, he will be joining the Rochester Americans.

Reimer, 36, appeared in 25 games last season with the Detroit Red Wings, posting an 11-8-2 record, a .904 save percentage (SV%), and a 3.11 goals-against average. It was the 13th time in his 14-year career that he had a .900 SV% or better.

Clague, 26, played in three games for the Sabres last season, recording one assist. Down in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Amerks, he had three goals, 23 points, and a minus-8 rating in 42 games.
