Evstigneev, 18, had 0 points across two games this season.
The Belarussian-born Canadian joined the Baie-Comeau Drakkar last season after several seasons in the United States.
At the time, he was considered a prospect to watch according to FCHockey who had him on their D-list to start the season.
However, he would struggle to maintain a spot in the lineup — only potting four points (3+1) over 20 games with the team.
By the wording of the post on X, it would appear that he and the team are parting ways as the team wished him well in the future.
