Jason Fitz with Yahoo Sports, hanging out with Colt superstar, Anthony Richardson joining us on behalf of Dairy Queen and I love it when we can talk ice cream.

So we will talk ice cream first.

We gotta talk some football.

How’s the lie?

No, it’s all good man filling up nicely.

You know, I’ve been feeling good day by day, you know, just back in the days of feeling better, how have you sort of gotten the ability to get better at your craft when you haven’t been able to be on the field as much as you want?

You know, you gotta count everything, you know, that’s involved in, you know, just a daily routine as a rep, you know, even when I’m not practicing and playing the games, you know, I’m still treating it as if I, I am practicing or I am playing, you know, so uh much doesn’t really change when, when I’m not physically able to go out there, you know, I still use the mental capacity of me and straining my mind and, and trying to understand the game plan and the opponent that we, that we’re playing against.

So not much really changed though.

So I just try to take advantage of all the other reps outside of actually just playing.

So it feels like everybody with the microphone, they yell like, oh, hey, I can’t keep taking big hits like that.

Do you hear that noise when you start thinking about your game?

Oh, no, I’ve been hearing that, you know, for a while, you know, since I’ve been playing quarterback for as long as I can remember, you know, people always been telling me, you know, I can’t always, you know, try to be physical and out physical everybody.

Um, but, you know, I don’t necessarily think about, you know, taking hits or anything like that, you know, I just treat it as this, it just football, you know, I’ve been playing football since I was, you know, three years old.

So it’s not much different for me from just going out there playing.

It’s just unfortunate that I’ve been dinged up.

Have you made a conscious decision to change the way you approach the position?

No, not necessarily, you know, I just try to stay within the system, you know, play.

Uh, whenever I got guys open, I try to give them the ball.

Whenever I do have the opportunity, you know, use my legs and get going, I try to do that.

What’s the quarterback room been like this year with Flacco?

Uh, it’s been cool, you know, uh, it, it’s definitely been a blessing, you know, just to have a guy like that.

Um Joe is a, a great person to be around, you know, he’s a great mentor and all I ask him a lot of questions all the time, you know, cause I’m always trying to get information from and then just watching him play, it’s like he’s just so calm and relaxed.

It’s like, man, like I wonder why is he like that?

He’s like, man, it’s just football, bro.

Just go play.

I’m like, OK, I can dig, I can, I can, I can dig with this guy.

You are joining us on behalf of Dairy Queen.

Uh So tell us a little bit of what you’re up to with that man, Jonathan Taylor and I had the amazing opportunity to go to Dairy Queen today, you know, with some s some supporters and some fans out there, we were able to, you know, toss some chicken around, you know, sauce it up, you know, to display the new flavors that they have coming out, man.

They let us taste the chicken.

I did not expect dare cos chicken to be that good, but I’m definitely excited about that.

So they’ll be seeing me more often.

But yeah, it was a great opportunity.
