Lower Corentyne Secondary benefits from Project Cricket Gears – Stabroek News

Lower Corentyne Secondary School (LCSS) became the latest beneficiary of the ‘Project Cricket Gears’ initiative following the acquisition of equipment.

This was disclosed in an official release from the entity. According to the correspondence, the institution received two boxes of red balls.

The release stated, “At a simple ceremony held recently, Mahendradass Nandlall, acting Head of Department, Allied Arts Department, LCSS, was thankful for the support and promised to get his school more actively involved in cricket, whether its competition or practice matches. Amanda Downer Kampta, the niece of Kallicharran, said that she was pleased to present the balls on behalf of her uncle and team. This initiative is also thankful for the continued support provided by our friends from the USA and really admire their interest and commitment to cricket development in Guyana, Berbice in particular.”

In excess of 86 players from all three counties have been beneficiaries of the initiative. Additionally, clubs have also benefitted from initiative.
