Daviess, Reynolds finished well at Girls State Golf

Daviess County’s girls and Owensboro’s boys competed in the KHSAA State Golf Championships last week at Bowling Green Country Club.

Daviess County’s Claire Reynolds finished tied for seventh with a 2-day total of 154 (81-73).

Daviess County shot a 683 as a team for fifth place, and was one stroke behind South Warren. Sacred Heart won the girls state team championship with a 626.

Alexa Salamah shot a 164 (85-79). Briley Billingsley shot a 176 (88-88). Baylie Billingsley shot a 189 (92-97). Macy Roberts shot a 224 (111-113)..

Owensboro High School finished seventh in the Boys State Golf Tournament at Bowling Green Country Club. OHS shot 638 for the two rounds.

Will Rickard shot a 161 (75-86). Jax Malone shot a 156 (76-80). Nolan Warren shot a 158 (76-82). Will Hume shot a 169 (84-85). Cole Crews shot a 168 (79-89).

Madison Central won the boys state golf championship with a 596.
