Lenovo unveils wide-ranging AI solutions at Tech World 2024 event | Back End News Back End News

On Oct. 15, global tech leader Lenovo introduced a suite of new (artificial intelligence) AI solutions and technologies at its annual Tech World event in Bellevue, Washington. The company’s announcement is part of its mission to deliver “Smarter AI for All,” showcasing innovations that span across industries and promise to bring tangible benefits to both businesses and individuals.

One of the highlights was the launch of Lenovo’s “Hybrid AI Advantage,” which is designed to help companies integrate AI quickly and efficiently. The system combines public and private cloud solutions to offer businesses the flexibility to use AI wherever they need it. 

“We are making AI faster, more accessible, and more sustainable for everyone,” said Yuanqing Yang, chair and CEO, Lenovo.

Lenovo also presented its latest AI-powered devices, including the new ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition laptop, designed for hybrid work environments. 

“AI is improving the quality of life for individuals and boosting productivity for businesses,” Yang said. “Our goal is to meet customer needs with tailored solutions.”

Lenovo AI Now

Another key feature introduced at the event was the Lenovo AI Now, a personal AI assistant that can turn regular PCs into smart devices. This assistant is designed to help users automate tasks and improve productivity. Lenovo also launched the Lenovo Learning Zone, an AI-driven educational platform to make learning more personalized.

The company’s push into sustainable AI solutions was underscored by the introduction of the next-generation Neptune water cooling system. This system is designed to reduce data center energy consumption by up to 40%, making AI infrastructure more eco-friendly. 

“We aim to set the standard for secure, efficient, and sustainable hybrid infrastructure,” Yang emphasized.

The event featured speakers from Lenovo’s key partners, including AMD, Intel, and Nvidia CEO, Jensen Huang joined Yang on stage to talk about the expanded partnership between the two companies. 

“Our partnership is bringing AI to every industry, making it easier to get real-time results,” Huang said.

Lenovo also showcased its AI initiatives for social good. The company introduced “Alzheimer’s Intelligence,” an AI companion developed to support people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. 

“We innovate without compromising our values,” said Doug Fisher, chief security and AI officer at Lenovo.
