TMI Boys Basketball gets new head coach Monty Williams

Spurs fans are finding this story very interesting on social media. A couple of former Spurs in the news over at TMI.

Bruce Bowen is out and Monty Wiliams is in as the new head basketball coach of the panthers.

Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Don Harris spoke with Bowen who said that it was not his decision to no longer be the head coach there but that he supports Monty Williams 100 percent.

Williams is being paid $13 million a year for the next five years by the Detroit Pistons after being fired after year one of a six year $78 million fully guaranteed contract. Williams recently moved back to San Antonio after he was fired by the Pistons.

Monty’s son Elijah will play for him at TMI and is the 11th ranked prospect in the class of 2026 and already has numerous college offers from Arizona, Notre Dame, Oregon, and others.

Also over at TMI are Draven Duncan and Ozmel Bowen, the sons of Tim and Bruce. Bruce confirmed Ozmel will continue to play for Monty at TMI.
