The Cyclones enter the 2024-25 season as the sixth-ranked team in the USA TODAY Sports men’s college basketball 2024-25 preseason rankings.
Last year, Iowa State finished 29-8 and closed at No. 8 in the final USA TODAY men’s college basketball polls. The Cyclones won a Big 12 Tournament championship and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
