Friday Headlines: Trent Noah living the dream for Kentucky Basketball

Date:

Kentucky Wildcats basketball head coach Mark Pope and his team blew out Kentucky Wesleyan, 123-52, on Wednesday night. The Wildcats had eight players in double-figures, with Jaxson Robinson leading the way with 19 and Otega Oweh falling just behind with 18 points.

Wednesday night’s win was a full display of just how lethal Kentucky can be from the outside as the Wildcats made 21 of their 42 three-point attempts.

One player who really stood out — especially from behind the arc — was Trent Noah. A Kentucky native who had always dreamed of wearing the Wildcats jersey, Noah is getting to live out that dream now as he carves out his own role in this high-powered offense. Noah made four out of five 3-pointers in less than 10 minutes of action.

Noah is joined this fall by Travis Perry, another Kentucky kid who was most recently recognized for leading Lyon County to a KHSAA state champion victory in boys’ basketball. Both are in the freshman class but are expected to make a significant impact later this fall, too.
