When rescheduled Bologna vs Milan could be played

Bologna-Milan has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions, but a busy fixture list for the Rossoneri and Rossoblu means the rescheduled meeting won’t take place before 2025.

Milan President Paolo Scaroni confirmed after a Lega Serie A meeting on Friday that a Serie A game between the Rossoneri and Bologna had been postponed.

Bologna authorities said on Thursday that the Stadio Dall’Ara would not be available due to extreme flooding in the region in recent days.

Lega Serie A pushed to move the fixture to a different venue, considering Como’s Stadio Sinigaglia and Empoli’s Stadio Castellani as possible alternatives, but their attempts were in vain.

Milan and Bologna are still involved in the Champions League and Coppa Italia, so their packed fixture list makes playing the match before January 2025 impossible.

Furthermore, the Rossoneri will play in the Supercoppa Italia in the same month, so their away game at Como on January 5, 2025, will also be rescheduled.

As reported by Sky Sport Italia, the first available dates to play the rescheduled Bologna-Milan are between the end of January and the start of February 2025.

The postponement of Bologna-Milan also means that Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders will serve their one-match ban in the next Serie A match against Napoli.
