Randal Kolo Muani is at the heart of transfer talk, with growing speculation about a possible move to the Premier League.
TBR Football reports that several Premier League clubs have been approached with his availability as the January transfer window nears.
Intermediaries have started making connections, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United among the teams reportedly contacted.
English journalist Graeme Bailey reports that Luis Enrique has asked for the sale of Kolo Muani. The PSG coach has decided that the Frenchman is no longer in his plans, making a transfer for the former Nantes player the best course of action.
L’Equipe provides update on Randal Kolo Muani’s future
Kolo Muani, who PSG signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for a hefty €90 million and has a contract until 2028, may move during the winter transfer window. The daily newspaper ‘L’Équipe’ (h/t Sport.fr) has provided an update on his situation.
They note, “In light of this disappointing outcome, the situation remains uncertain. Neither side wants to initiate a breakup. The player is understandably affected by the challenges he’s facing. Officially, regarding his future, it has been stated: ‘He will meet the club’s expectations.’ This shifts the focus back to PSG, which invested €90 million while being aware of his strengths and weaknesses.”
The club’s stance on Kolo Muani’s potential departure in the winter transfer window is still unclear.
“Currently, nothing is decided. PSG aren’t ruling out being active in January, but their recent discussions have centered more on other areas, like full-backs,” the French outlet notes. “At this point, there’s no plan to push Kolo Muani out in order to sign another forward. Ultimately, it will be up to Luis Enrique to make that call. If a decision is made, considering his purchase price, PSG won’t let him go cheaply, which will also limit the possibilities for any potential transfer.”
