Genoa director Marco Ottolini confirms that the Grifone have reached an agreement with Mario Balotelli, who will sign for the club tomorrow ‘unless there are surprises.’
Balotelli is ready to return to Serie A and sign for strugglers Genoa.
The Italy international has been without a club since June, when his contract with Adana Demirspor expired.
“As we said, we assessed our injured players before making any decision. We didn’t have positive news on Vitinha and Messias, and Ekuban also suffered an injury,” Ottolini told DAZN on Sunday (as quoted by Calciomercato.com).
“Therefore, we decided to go all the way for Balotelli.
“We expect great enthusiasm; he has shown great desire to come to Genoa. He’ll be a new Genoa player tomorrow unless there are surprises. He has transmitted great positivity.”
