Garnet Hathaway Fined 5K For Elbow On Wild’s Joel Eriksson Ek

Date:

Philadelphia Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway has been fined $5,000 for his hit on Minnesota Wild forward Joel Eriksson Ek during Saturday’s game.

Eriksson Ek, 27, just recently came back into the lineup after missing two games with a broken nose. He took an elbow to the face during the second game of the year.

The Wild center didn’t even have the puck during this sequence when Hathaway decided to elbow Eriksson Ek in the face for no reason.

He has now been fined by the league and not suspended.
