1st Iranian World Fitness Medalist Appointed as Woodball Association Board Member

Hassan Golestaneh, the first Iranian Champion of the World Fitness Championships and the founder of fitness sport was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Iran Woodball Association.

Iran NOC; Tehran: At the
suggestion of Mehrdad Jamshidi, Secretary General of the Federation and
President of the Iranian Woodball Association, Hassan Golestaneh, former world
fitness champion, was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Woodball
Association through an appointment letter signed by Dr. Hamid Azizi, President
of Iran Golf Federation and member of the Executive Board of the National
Olympic Committee. Hassan Golestaneh, the founder of the fitness in Iran and nicknamed
Mr. Fitness of Iran, holds prominent international titles in bodybuilding. In
2016 and 2017, he was the first Iranian bodybuilding athlete to win silver and
gold medals at the world championships in Ireland and the United States, as
well as holding the first professional fitness card from the United States.

In his brilliant sports career,
in addition to being the runner-up in the Physics competition and receiving a Professional
Physics card from California, USA, he was also selected as the best fitness
trainer in the world in 2015. In 2016, Golestaneh achieved the world silver
medal with more serious activity in the fitness sports was recognized as a History
Maker of Iranian sports in bodybuilding. He is the first professional
bodybuilding and fitness referee in Iran who has succeeded in receiving a
referee’s booklet from the World Federation.

Representative of the
International Fitness Federation in Iran, the Chair of the Fitness Association
of the Deaf Federation, the Secretary of the Sports Working Group of the
Iranian Entrepreneurs Association, and an official member of the European
Fitness Association, as well as the official representative of the Iranian and
Armenian federations are included among his prominent sports background.
