The value of the NHL continues to increase and alongside the league, the Carolina Hurricanes’ value has risen as well.
Per Sportico’s annual franchise valuations, the Hurricanes have an approximate value of $1.29 billion, making them the 25th most valuable franchise in the league.
The value is an increase of 32% from the prior year where the Hurricanes were valued at $980 million.
The Canes have had a resurgence into relevancy ever since Tom Dundon purchased a majority stake in the team in 2018 (52% for $420 million).
Since then, the Canes have been the third most successful regular season team in the league and have won the sixth most playoff games.
The team is looking for its 71st straight sellout on Thursday and with a $1 billion development project set to take place around Lenovo Center, the Canes are in a very good place for the future.
