But offensive lineman Doug Kramer, playing fullback, failed to report as eligible, wiping out the touchdown. Swift got the Bears back to the 1, where offensive lineman Kiran Amegadjie had a holding penalty.
The Bears settled for a field goal (although officials missed a facemask penalty that would have given Chicago a first down), and the Vikings then drove 70 yards in 12 plays for a touchdown that might have iced the game.
Aaron Jones scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 1:38 remaining in the fourth quarter, increasing Minnesota’s lead to 20-3.
The Vikings opened the second half with two three-and-outs to give the Bears a chance, but the Bears were the Bears. Now, Chicago is in a huge hole it is unlikely to climb out of.
After three quarters, the Vikings have outgained the Bears 264 to 230 with Sam Darnold going 20-of-35 191 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
