SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A fire broke out on Christmas morning at an abandoned country bar in Mission Valley and smoke could be seen from nearby freeways.
The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department responded to a fire Wednesday morning at the former In Cahoots Dance Hall & Saloon at 5373 Mission Center Road in Mission Valley.
Abandoned country saloon catches fire in Mission Valley
This comes nearly two months after a fire broke out at the abandoned building in late October.
In total, nearly 50 firefighters and personnel were on the scene battling the blaze that broke out at 10 a.m. on Christmas Day, the fire-rescue department reported. The structure was fully engulfed and thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the former dance hall.
By 11:15 a.m., not much was left of the building as you can see below.
The fire-rescue department reports a fire investigator has been assigned. No injuries have been reported.
