On what was his first college visit, Andrew Kretkowski landed an offer from Rutgers basketball.
It was a successful weekend visit for Kretkowski, who plays locally at Rutgers Prep (Old Bridge, New Jersey). A 6-foot-7 forward in the class of 2027, Rutgers now joins a recruitment that already includes offers from Arizona State, Florida State and Pepperdine.
The visit included taking in the football game on Friday night, where Rutgers emerged with a 21-18 win over Washington. Given the sold-out crowd and the electric environment created by the Scarlet Knights fanbase, it served as a sales pitch to Kretkowski for the program.
