Napoli manager Antonio Conte sat down to preview Sunday’s match with Roma.
The Italian head coach spoke to reporters earlier today at Castevolturno.
“I am pleased to meet Claudio again, I have great respect for him, and we’re friends,” said Conte of his opponent.
“I am happy for him, I thought he would return to the bench for a national team but we know that the window of the heart for Rome and Cagliari would have remained open and I am also happy for his family.”
“It will be a tough match for us and for them. Let’s not forget that last year Roma arrived ahead of us, they are participating in the Europa League and had an excellent transfer window.”
“They are not performing according to expectations or according to their real values. I Ranieri can get off to a good start only after having faced us.”
“When a team changes coach, there will be an important input on a nervous level. They are on their third coach this season, we knew more or less how they were set up before. Now Roma is an enigma, a question mark, we do not know how to face them.”
“We must think about ourselves, the boys have worked well, there is enthusiasm and desire to play well on Sunday. Knowing that it will be a difficult match against an excellent team that has encountered some difficulties.”
