Armed carjacking reported near Easton Town Center shop

Date:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Police are looking Friday for at least three men they said were involved in a carjacking near an Easton Town Center store.

Dispatchers told NBC4 that after getting a call at 3:06 p.m., officers approached four men inside of a stolen vehicle in the area. The group bailed out of the car, then ran behind the Crate & Barrel store.

One of the men was armed with a gun, and the group proceeded to carjack another vehicle, according to Columbus police. They later found the second stolen car near the intersection of Morse Road and Heaton Road, around 12 minutes away from the store.

Officers detained at least one of the suspects, but the other three remained at large as of 4:30 p.m.
