It is expected to commence operations in 2028 with a capacity of 1.16mtpa. ‘Fujian Eversun New Material Putian Polypropylene Plant 2’ is expected to add the next major capacity in the region with 1.10mtpa. Located in the Fujian province of China, the plant is expected to come online in 2026.
In the Middle East, there are a total of 24 planned and announced projects in Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, which are expected to add a total capacity of 9.75mtpa by 2028. ‘Sasa Polyester Sanayi Yumurtalik Polypropylene Plant 1’ and ‘Sasa Polyester Sanayi Yumurtalik Polypropylene Plant 2’ account for the highest capacity additions in the region, each with a capacity of 1.0mtpa. Both are being planned in Turkey and have received the necessary approvals for construction. They are anticipated to come online in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
