Atalanta new leaders, Conte toppled: Serie A table updated after Week 15

Atalanta are the new, outright leaders of the Serie A table after the conclusion of the 15th round of 2024-25 fixtures, while Antonio Conte’s Napoli tumbled twice to Lazio in the space of four days. Here is how the table looks after the completion of this weekend’s fixtures.

Serie A table updates after Week 15

Atalanta were the headline makers this weekend: Gian Piero Gasperini and his team beat Milan 2-1 at home on Friday night to lift themselves up to the top of the Serie A standings.

Their position in first place was confirmed when Napoli lost 1-0 to Lazio on Sunday. Conte had to face Marco Baroni and his team back-to-back, having also lost to the Biancocelesti in the Coppa Italia on Thursday.

Inter remained consistent over the weekend, both in terms of results and their league position. They are in third place following a 3-1 win over Parma on Friday night, but have played one game fewer than both Atalanta and Napoli, and could mathematically overtake them both if they win their game in hand.

The same is also true for Fiorentina, who are level with Inter on points and games played. La Viola picked up a routine 1-0 win at home against Cagliari following a difficult week for the club and midfielder Edoardo Bove.

Like Fiorentina and Inter, Lazio are also on 31 points after week 15, although they have now played one more game than the two teams above them.

Juventus had to fight back to claim a 2-2 draw with Bologna on Saturday, which leaves them in sixth place in the league table with 27 points. Thiago Motta’s side are the only unbeaten team in the division, but have still only won six of their 15 league matches this term.

Milan remain in seventh place after their 2-1 loss to Atalanta. Paulo Fonseca’s side have 22 points from 14 matches this term.

The Rossoneri are level on points and results with Bologna, who are now up to eighth after their 2-2 draw with Juventus.

Serie A action will resume on Friday evening with Empoli’s visit from Torino, and will also feature an interesting match-up between Inter and Lazio next Monday.
