Barcelona and Real Madrid legends set to face off in November

After the October international break, FC Barcelona are set to play one of the biggest matches of this season, El Clasico against Real Madrid. With only three points separating the two sides on the league table, the first place in La Liga can be at stake in this game.

Therefore, this will be as hotly contested a match as one usually expects an El Clasico to be. However, this will not be the only Classic that the fans of both teams can enjoy in the near future.

As SPORT has reported, another Classic is scheduled to take place one day before the 125th anniversary of Barcelona, on November 28th, between the legends of Barcelona and Real Madrid. This match will take place at the Khalifa Stadium in Rayan, Qatar, which has a capacity to hold 45,857 spectators.

This Legends El Clasico will be the third time that the two sides meet on the pitch. The first time that this encounter took place was in 2017, when the Blaugrana Legends won 3-2, with goals from Ludovic, Guily, and Simao.

The two teams then met on the pitch again in 2021, and this time the Merengues got a 3-2 victory. Ronaldinho and Jofre scored the two goals for Barcelona.

FC Barcelona have already officially announced and confirmed the date for this encounter, but have also made it clear that Albert Ferrer has not yet finalized the players that will be called up for this match.

Usually, the Barcelona Legends squad has included some iconic players like Rivaldo, Saviola, Luis Garcia, Julio Salinas, Larsson, Guily, Simao, Jofre, Bojan, Robert Edmilson, Trashorras, Davids, Goikoetxea, Mendieta, Soler, Dehu, etc.

But it remains to be seen which of the club’s former players will be called up to face their former bitter rivals in November. What is clear for now is that this is still going to be a highly entertaining affair for the fans of both sides.
