Basketball legends of greater Columbus honored

The 2024 Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony for the Greater Columbus Basketball Legends Association took place on Saturday.

The event honored coaches, players, supporters and basketball legends from the greater Columbus area, including:

  • Tony Bisutti (Player, DeSales HS / Coach, DeSales HS)
  • Garry ‘Ajamu’ Brown, Sr. (Player, University HS / Community Service)
  • Eugene Caslin (Player, Eastmoor HS / Coach, Mifflin HS)
  • Kevin Castleman (Player, Columbus East HS)
  • William McKinney (Coach, Africentric Early College HS – Girls)
  • Jeff Quackenbush (Player, Newark HS / Coach, Newark HS)
  • D’wan Shackleford-Vickroy (Player, Newark HS / Player, OSU)
  • Crystal Sims-Carrera (Player, East HS / Community Service)
  • Gary Walters (Coach, Newark HS)
  • Special Award: Africentric HS – Girls

Columbus State Community College hosted the event at Mitchell Hall.
