Bayern Munich sensation heaps praise on Barcelona wonderkid – ‘Fun to watch him play’

Jamal Musiala is one of the players European clubs are keeping a close eye on, as the forward continues to negotiate his contract.

Musiala’s current deal at Bayern Munich expires in 2026, meaning any failure to reach a new agreement could effectively make him available in the market next summer.

That is because Bayern have historically avoided the idea of allowing their players to leave on a free deal. To that end, Musiala has recently admitted that he was not able to light up Bayern fans’ Christmas with a new deal.

Musiala’s latest hint to Barcelona

Moreover, Musiala has also admitted his admiration for Barcelona. And in yet another hint, the German international has recently heaped praise on Lamine Yamal.

At an event for children organised by Bayern, the former Chelsea youth player expressed his admiration for Yamal, who was recently crowned the Golden Boy award for 2024.

“I think he is a very good player. He is young and has a lot of potential. The truth is that it is fun to watch him play,” he said (h/t SPORT).

Musiala’s statement can be considered another hint as he looks to take the next step in his career. That being said, a contract extension at Bayern has not been ruled out at all.

What’s Bayern’s next move?

Although Musiala has not been able to reach an agreement over a new at Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga giants remain determined to find a deal.

Musiala, after all, is considered the future face of Bayern and a key strategic component in the club’s transition plans.

Therefore, it won’t be surprising to see Bayern going all out to secure a new deal for the German international, who is already considered one of the best attackers in the Bundesliga.
