Sep. 5—PARK RAPIDS — The Bemidji High School girls tennis team seems to have forgotten how to lose this season.
The Lumberjacks extended their undefeated streak to 13-0 with a dominating 7-0 win over Park Rapids on Thursday afternoon. Only a single match lasted beyond two sets.
Elena Peterson led the way in No. 1 singles, besting Emma Goochey with a pair of 6-1 wins. Her sister, Liz, beat Abby Runyan in two sets for a win at No. 2 singles.
Morgan Nyhusmoen battled back after losing the opening set against Addi Frieden to clinch a three-set win for Bemidji in No. 4 singles.
Megan Berg and Lilly Caron were the winning pair at No. 1 doubles, defeating Katie Dravis and Rachel Ulvin in two sets. Sam Wood, Ruby McKeon, Ava Myhre and Millie Knott also won in straight sets at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles.
