Best right wingers in EA FC 25

The idea of traditional wing play is one that’s drifted out of prominence in the modern game, but it remains prevalent in the gaming world.

Speed and power will always be king in anything EA Sports have got their hands on. This ‘inverted’ nonsense just doesn’t appeal, with touchline wingers capable of beating their opposing full-back and penetrating in behind being the utopia for gamers.

There are speedsters aplenty in EA FC 25, and some rank among the highest wingers in the game. We’ve already browsed through the left-sided folk, so let’s drift over the opposite flank.

Here are the ten highest-rated right wingers in EA FC 25.

10. Rodrygo – 86 OVR

Rodrygo may harshly be regarded as the forgotten man in Real Madrid’s superstar-laden frontline, but the Brazilian winger is developing into a superstar in his own right.

The nimble wide player can operate on either flank, but much of his work in the Spanish capital has come off the right. He’s quick without being rapid, but an excellent mover of the ball in tight spaces and is a handy playmaker, too.

The 86-rated star certainly isn’t a cheap option following the game’s release.

9. Bukayo Saka – 87 OVR

There’s a sense of inevitability that’s starting to build around Saka down Arsenal’s right-hand side. He’s an output machine!

A strong dribbler with a useful turn of pace, Saka is no speed merchant but a masterful playmaker from wide areas. His set-piece delivery is superb, too – even if that’s pretty irrelevant in FC 25.

If we’re being honest, this is no exceptional card despite the lofty rating. The three-star/four-star skill moves/weak foot combination may deter a few.

8. Beth Mead – 88 OVR

Many would argue that Mead should have a Ballon d’Or to her name following her heroics in 2022, and there’s no doubt that the Arsenal Women star continues to rank among the best in her sphere despite having to endure a lengthy layoff with a torn ACL.

Mead’s 88-rated card lacks top-level speed, but she does have five-star skill moves which will attract a few.

7. Kadidiatou Diani – 88 OVR

Diani may be well into her prime, but the French international still has pace to burn.

Her 90-pace is complemented by a well-rounded card, which does justice to Diani’s impressive ball-striking and slick dribbling skills. As a straight-line runner, though, there are fewer more dangerous in the women’s game.

The seasoned international has recorded over 100 caps for France, scoring 28 times for her country.

6. Bernardo Silva – 88 OVR

Bernardo is one of those highly-rated cards that’s going to be more useful for an SBC than actual usage in-game. The Portuguese international is listed as a central midfielder, with RW being an alternate position.

We’re well aware of the Man City star’s versatility, and his technical ability means gamers could have some use for him in the middle of the park.

A lack of pace and a far-from-imposing frame, however, means almost nobody is going to be using Bernardo in a wide position.

5. Lionel Messi – 89 OVR

That’s right, the GOAT’s still got it. Messi already has an in-form to his name, and you can pick up his ‘normal’ 88-rated card for just a few thousand. Sub-par chemistry links ensure the Argentine isn’t the most desirable of options, but hey, it’s still Messi.

The right-winger has multiple alternate positions which are more likely to eek out the maximum efficacy of his card. He’s still a premier dribbler (92 dribbling), and capable of doing pretty much anything with the ball at his feet.

His sub-par physical attributes has meant Messi has never been regarded as the greatest in the gaming world, but he continues to rank higher than great contemporary rival Cristiano Ronaldo (86 rated) on the ratings front.

4. Phil Foden – 88 OVR

Foden may have underwhelmed at Euro 2024, but he took over at crucial points during Man City’s title success last season. It was he who came to the fore in Kevin De Bruyne’s absence.

Like Messi, Foden’s versatility ensures he has several alternate positions from which he can operate and the Englishman’s 88-rated card certainly looks more suited to a central position.

His technical attributes are off the charts, and a handy 86 pace means there’s scope for him to be used in wide areas.

3. Sophia Smith – 89 OVR

At just 24, Smith already has over 50 caps for the USWNT to her name. The former #1 NWSL College Draft pick has scored 23 times for her country and is regarded by some as the best player in North America.

She’s a versatile forward who had an array of different cards on FC 24, including a 95-rated Team of the Year and 98-rated Futties Premium. Gamers must’ve been sick of the sight of her!

Smith may be slight, but she’s incredibly quick and that five-star weak foot will render her a lucrative forward option throughout FC 25.

2. Mohamed Salah – 89 OVR

Salah may not be one for aesthetics, but there’s perhaps no winger in the game boasting the efficiency of the Egyptian.

The Liverpool superstar is no physical behemoth, but his running power is mightily impressive and defenders relentlessly struggle to dispossess him when he’s trying to work an opening onto his much-preferred left foot.

He’s the epitome of an output machine and has been ever since he rocked up on Merseyside. Salah’s consistency is remarkable, and he’s another who you can expect to rack up a litany of different cards throughout FC 25.

1. Caroline Graham Hansen – 90 OVR

Hansen has retained her 90-rated card from FC 24 and is the highest-rated right-winger in FC 25.

Following five successful years with Wolfsburg, the Norwegian international has developed into a critical figure of one of the most dominant club teams we’ve ever seen.

Hansen has dominated out on Barcelona’s right flank after arriving in Spain five years ago, but she enjoyed her most prolific season last time out as she scored 23 times in 25 Liga F games.

The 29-year-old is a cultured wide player who excels technically, and her double five-star combination will attract anybody who knows their way around the skill moves handbook.
