‘Big talent’, new wing-back & sensational striker: Amorim could unleash three Man Utd academy stars in next 6 months – view

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is a staunch advocate for nurturing young talent and integrating them into the first team.

The United Academy has consistently produced a pipeline of stellar talent, with many graduates going on to become global superstars.

From Ryan Giggs to Marcus Rashford, the academy’s legacy is rich with success stories.

United take immense pride in the development of young players and that tradition looks set to continue with Amorim at the helm.

We believe three Academy stars have an edge and could make their debut under the new head coach this season.

Harry Amass

United have had big problems at left-back due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Many expected Harry Amass to receive an opportunity after a positive pre-season but the 17-year-old has yet to make his senior debut.

Erik ten Hag described him as a ‘big talent’ but felt he needed more preparation to cope with the physical challenges of senior football.

The wing-backs play a crucial role in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system. Amass could be an ideal fit for the left-wing back spot.

Bendito Mantato

Mantato could truly flourish under Amorim as Geovany Quenda did at Sporting CP.

The 16-year-old is a raw talent lighting up the United Under-18s this season. He is a right-winger by trade but has previously featured at the left-back spot.

Mantato excels in 1v1 duels and has a keen eye for creating chances in the final third.

He could be a solid cover for the right-wing back spot.

United have been plagued by injuries in defence with Victor Lindelof joining that unfortunate list yesterday.

If Amorim wants one of Dalot or Mazraoui to slot into back-three on an emergency basis, Mantato could earn a few minutes as a wing-back.

Chido Obi-Martin

Chido Obi-Martin has already become a popular name among United fans after joining the club from Arsenal this summer.

He marked his first start for United Under-18s with an incredible hat-trick in just 14 minutes against Nottingham Forest.

The Red Devils have struggled in the final third this season due to poor finishing skills.

Obi-Martin has demonstrated his clinical edge, showing he is on track to carve out a successful future as a goalscorer.

Amorim will rely on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee to shine over the next six months but may be tempted to give Obi-Martin a chance in one of the cup matches.
