The Bills defense had a rough time of it against the Rams on Sunday and things aren’t going to get any easier for the unit in Week 15.
Los Angeles put up 357 yards while converting 11-of-15 third downs in their 44-42 win and defensive coordinator Bobby Babich said there were a “conglomeration” of reasons for the team’s issues on that side of the ball. Babich said he was one of the “people not doing their jobs at a high level” and that’s a tricky place to be in when the next game is a road date against a Lions team that is scoring more than 32 points a game.
Babich said he has confidence that he and the players can put together a better plan this time around.
“I believe our guys are up to the challenge, and they’re ready to respond,” Babich said, via the team’s website.
The Bills have clinched the AFC East and the loss to the Rams is going to make it difficult for them to catch the Chiefs for the top seed in the conference. The Steelers also have a 10-3 record, so the second seed is still up for grabs and a strong defensive showing in Detroit would improve the Bills’ chances of landing it.
