Milan reported record-breaking arrivals in 2024, consistently surpassing one million visitors per month, while Naples is projected to welcome 14 million visitors by year-end.

Northern European Christmas markets are perennial favorites, with new options emerging in regions like Calabria, Veneto, Lombardy, and Apulia. For New Year’s Eve, cities like London, with its Thames fireworks and vibrant nightlife, and Madrid, famous for its midnight grape-eating tradition in Plaza del Sol, attract revelers. Central and Eastern European cities, including Budapest, Berlin, Ljubljana, and Prague, offer grand celebrations with a distinct cultural charm.

In Italy, Venice remains a romantic favorite for New Year’s Eve, while Rome, Turin, and Umbria’s historic villages host concerts and festive events. Coastal Liguria provides a picturesque seaside celebration, making it ideal for those seeking tranquility.
