Blackhawks Trade AHL F Ryder Rolston To Predators

Date:

The Chicago Blackhawks traded AHL forward Ryder Rolston to the Nashville Predators on Wednesday afternoon.

The Blackhawks are getting “future considerations” back from the Predators in what will be considered a minor trade.

Rolston has been with the Chicago Blackhawks organization for two seasons. He played in 68 games with the Rockford IceHogs where he scored 11 goals and had nine assists for 20 points.

Before becoming a part of the Chicago organization, Rolston was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the fifth round (139th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.

Brian Rolston, Ryder’s father, played over 1200 games in the NHL. A lot of his time was spent with the New Jersey Devils where he won the Stanley Cup. Now, his son has been traded in a small NHL transaction.

Rolston will end up playing for the Milwaukee Admirals where he hopes to eventually have a shot in the NHL.
