Early in the fall, Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Arnau Tenas was linked to FC Barcelona following the injury to Marc-André ter Stegen. However, the Catalan side chose veteran Wojciech Szczesny to replace the German shot-stopper.
Tenas, once highly regarded at La Masia, left Barcelona last year after the club chose not to renew his contract. The goalkeeper was also part of the Spanish squad that secured a gold medal at the Summer Olympics.
The 23-year-old is third on the depth chart and so it will be in his best interest to head elsewhere on loan to garner playing time and boost his confidence.
Could Arnau Tenas head out on loan?
PSG Inside-Actus reported on Monday that Tenas could be loaned out to secure more playing time.
While he remains eager to continue his development at the club, a temporary move might provide him with valuable experience before returning stronger, with Villarreal, Valencia, Werder Bremen, Brighton, and Parma among the clubs interested.
