The victim, who has not been identified apart from being a male teenager, was later transported to a local hospital after the gunfire exchange that happened inside the Metro. DC police accompanied by metro transit police launched an investigation into the incident after the cops rushed to the station at 860 Monroe Street.

The Police Officers and Washington DC Fire Department officers were at around 4 pm, per local time, after the victim was found shot at the Metro Station. Despite CPR and emergency response, the teenager shot could not survive, as per multiple media reports.

Meanwhile, the DC Police released the image of a person of interest who was seen wearing a gray and black hoodie. The person who allegedly stormed out of the Metro Station covered his face with a mask, as shown in the picture captured by CCTV.

“Lookout is for a black male, light skin, black jacket, black hoody, gray square backpack, light blue jeans, and black and white shoes,” the Police Department said in its alert issued on social sites.

The police launched a manhunt and were looking for the shooter. The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC has issued a shelter-in-place order following the shooting incident. Earlier, it was reported that medics quickly arrived on the scene and took the victim to a hospital.

A photograph that police claim depicts the alleged suspect was released. The cops asked that anyone who witnessed the person dial 911.
