Here’s what I care and don’t care about coming out of Sunday night.
Football, Cowboys, 20 Steelers 17.
What I care about is that the Cowboys got some ancillary players to step up for them.
You think about the 2024 Cowboys and how we discuss them coming into the season?
It was a very top heavy offense, right?
It’s Dak Prescott, it’s CD Lamb and then not much to discuss for the Dallas Cowboys where there was a lot to discuss with many other players tonight.
As CD was pretty quiet, Dak Prescott was making mistakes.
Jalen Tolbert steps up for 10 targets and the game winning touchdown.
He was consistently impactful all night.
And look, I, I still have some deep deep Tolbert stock buried in some of my couch cushions here because I think he’s an ideal replacement for what Michael gallop used to give this team, uh, deep routes.
Some of the comebacks hitches, things like that.
Culbert flashes in that regard.
I think there’s a little bit of staying power for a guy who’s only 6% rostered in Yahoo leagues elsewhere.
Rico Dale big breakout night, I think he is firmly established himself.
Now as the running back one for the Dallas Cowboys, I don’t know that he’s gonna be a quote league winner or anything like that, but he’s a steady, efficient back who can help keep this off on schedule.
And as long as he’s getting 20 carries to six for Ezekiel Elliott, he is a guy who needs to be on the Flex radar in all leagues.
What I don’t care about, man, we’re back to not really caring about the Pittsburgh Steelers offense.
The running game is supposed to be the identity of this team and it’s more of a disaster than ever.
Naji Harris simply cannot mount an explosive backfield for this Pittsburgh Steelers offense and the passing game is starting to fall apart a little bit.
We got George Pickens rotating on and off the field.
Justin Fields is a guy who is dynamic at times but also an extremely limited player.
Like, look, this is not a good offensive situation right now.
You don’t just bust on a quarterback and Kenny Pickett turn around have some magical solution for the most part at quarterback.
That’s not really how it works.
It looks like the 2024 Pittsburgh Steelers are not about to be an exception to that rule.
