Celtic defender Johnston injures hamstring on international duty 🇨🇦

Celtic and Canada were handed an injury blow on Saturday evening concerning Alistair Johnston.

The defender played only 30 minutes of his nation’s rivalry clash with the United States before being forced off through injury.

Canada Soccer later confirmed to local media at half-time that Johnston suffered a hamstring issue.

The defender placed his hand on his left leg as he attempted to continue against the USA before opting to come off.

The positive news, however, is that he did not appear to be in severe pain and managed to walk without assistance.
