This week, Le Parisien initially reported that Paris Saint-Germain wasn’t planning a late bid for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. However, new updates on Thursday suggest that PSG is still in the running for the Nigerian star, which could be why Chelsea is currently in Naples and preparing to make an offer.
Journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin recently revealed that PSG might submit a new offer for Osimhen as soon as Friday evening, just before the transfer window closes.
Moreover, Fabrice Hawkins from RMC Sport also reported that Chelsea’s management are in Naples trying to convince Osimhen to join the club.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that Chelsea have made an official bid for Osimhen, approaching Napoli with a proposal for a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy. At the same time, Chelsea are negotiating salary terms with Osimhen.

It will be interesting to see if this trip to Naples works in Chelsea’s favor or whether the Parisians pull off a last-minute bid to bolster their No. 9 position this 2024-25 season.
Since transferring from Ligue 1’s LOSC Lille to Napoli, the Nigerian international has netted 76 goals in 133 appearances, including 65 goals in Serie A. Osimhen was also pivotal in securing Napoli’s league title in the 2022-23 season.
