Robert Morris vs. Delaware

Both teams are coming off of losses to open the season with Robert Morris taking an 87-59 blowout loss against West Virginia after losing many pieces in the offseason from an offense that ranked 323rd last season in points scored on a per possession basis. While Delaware is a bit of a work in progress, they did have a double-digit half team lead in their season opener against Bucknell and Cavan Reilly should improve upon the six points he has opening night after shooting 37.8% from 3-point range with 9.2 points per game a season ago.

Stony Brook vs. Central Michigan

While Stony Brook took a 40-point loss against Marquette to begin the season, transfer Ben Wight giving the team 10 points and eight rebounds per game was an encouraging sign after spending last season on the bench at Toledo. Despite winning their first game against South Alabama, Central Michigan’s 17 turnovers in that game are a concern after the team ranked 324th in points scored on a per possession basis last season.

Montana State vs. Wisconsin
8 PM ET
Wisconsin has ranked 271st or slower in total possessions per game in every season since the 2006-07 season and faces a Montana State team that was one of the worst in the country last season at getting second chances, ranking 356th in the nation in percentage of missed shots on offense that resulted in an offensive rebound.

Prairie View vs. DePaul

DePaul has a new coach in Chris Holtmann for a team that lost 100% of last season’s scoring and now must face a Prairie View team that plays a defense foreign to most teams outside of its conference, ranking eighth in turnovers forced on a per possession basis last season, and has been in the top nine in this category five times in the past seven seasons. With DePaul trying to get players on the same page, and having only one player pull in more than five rebounds in their season-opening OT win against Southern Indiana, Game 2 of the Holtmann era figures to be another sweat.
Prairie View +15 (Greg’s Handicap Prairie View +11)
Omaha vs. Stetson
8:00 PM ET
Last season, Omaha ranked 300th in opponent 3-point shooting percentage while Stetson took 25 3-pointers in their opening game against non-Division I New College of Florida and made 38.6% of their 3-point shots at home last season. In its season opener, Omaha got outscored in the second half by Mid-America Christian Evangels and committed five more turnovers than its non-Division I foe.
