Who’s playing in 2024 Furyk & Friends?

The entry deadline is 5 p.m. on Sept. 27 but as of mid-September there were already six members of the World Golf Hall of Fame who had committed, Davis Love III of St. Simons Island, Vijay Singh of Ponte Vedra Beach, all-time Champions Tour victories leader Bernhard Langer, current Schwab Cup points leader Ernie Els, Retief Goosen and Colin Montgomerie.

Also playing are past major champions Jim Furyk and David Duval of Jacksonville, Mike Weir, John Daly, Lee Janzen, Tom Lehman, Darren Clarke and Justin Leonard; plus Fred Funk and Len Mattiace of Jacksonville, Frank Lickliter II of Ponte Vedra, the last two winners of the Furyk & Friends, Brett Quigley and Steve Stricker, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Boo Weekley, Steven Alker, Stephen Ames and Rocco Mediate.

What happened in 2023 Furyk & Friends?

Quigley overcame a double bogey at the par-3 14th hole and with four closing pars managed to beat Alker by one shot at 11-under-par 205.

Where is Furyk & Friends televised?

Golf Channel will air the first and second rounds live from 2-4 p.m. The final round will be shown on a tape-delay basis from 7-9 p.m.

General admission, $25: Provides Access to Tournament Grounds, Circle K ParTee Porch, Tailgate Village and Baptist Health Family Lounge. Youth 17 and under are admitted free to the tournament with a ticketed adult.

Club 58, starts at $295: All-inclusive hospitality suite, located on No. 17 green with views of Nos. 10, 11, 12, 13, 17 and 18. Non-reserved seating with reserved options available, all-inclusive food and beverage service, viewing platform, private restrooms, HD TVs.

Military tickets: Tickets for tournament rounds provided by VyStar Credit Union free for active duty, military reserve, National Guard, military retirees, veterans and dependents with a valid ID. Provides access to VyStar Patriots Outpost and tournament grounds.

How to get there, parking for Furyk & Friends

On-site parking is not available at the golf course except for contestants and tournament and clubhouse staff. But fans have numerous options to arrive at the tournament.

Circle K Water Taxi: Take one of the famed St. Johns River Taxis to the tournament free between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on all three competitive round days from Oct. 4-6. Park in Lot R, the gravel Lot between Winston Family YMCA at 111 Riverside Avenue Friday through Sunday and the Haskell Company parking garage Saturday and Sunday.

The taxis will run from the dock behind the YMCA to the dock behind the Timuquana clubhouse (Bold City Gate) every 30 minutes, with the last taxi leading Timuquana 30 minutes after the end of play each day. There will be full-service bars on the Winston Family YMCA dock and beer for purchase on the boats.

Orange Park Mall: Free parking is available at Lot O at the Orange Park Mall, 1910 Wells Road, between the JC Penney and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Shuttle buses will run to and from the lot every 15 minutes and drop fans off at the Bobby Jones Gate. The last bus will leave the Timuquana Country Club 30 minutes after play ends.

Cadillac Customer VIP Parking: Cadillac owners can park their cars at the Venetia Elementary School at 4300 Timuquana Road Oct. 5-6 beginning at 8 a.m., with a complimentary shuttle to the clubhouse (less than a mile away). Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. No parking pass is needed but only Cadillacs will be allowed to park there.

NAS Jacksonville Shuttle: Free parking for those holding military tickets and any fans having NAS Jacksonville access is available at Hangar 511 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on tournament days, with a shuttle dropping off and picking up at the Bobby Jones Gate.

Rideshare: Fans are encouraged to use ridesharing services. There is a dedicated rideshare drop-off point west of the Timuquana clubhouse. Fans will be directed to the Duval Gate to enter the tournament.

Bicycle and Golf Cart parking: Free on-site parking for bicycles and golf carts is near the Timuquana Country Club clubhouse. Fans arriving on a bicycle or a golf cart should head toward Timuquana Country Club and follow signs to designated parking area. Personal golf carts or bicycles are not allowed inside the gates.

Wheelchair Accessibility Parking: Fans who need assistance can visit the Disabled Guest Pickup tent at the Bobby Jones Gate. For wheelchair-accessible parking, please email information@furykandfriends.com.

What fan experiences are available at Furyk & Friends?

Public seating: Available at the Miller Electric/WWG Bleachers at the first tee and behind the seventh tee box.

Circle K Par Tee Porch: Located on the seventh green and open to all ticket holders. Fans get views of the seventh hole and the eighth tee area. There will be a birdie beer promotion for all birdies made on the 7th hole: $2 per beer for seven minutes.

Tailgate Village: It might be golf but tournament organizers know fans want to keep up with their favorite football teams on Saturday and Sunday. The Tailgate Village will be able to watch the Jaguars, Gators, Bulldogs, Seminoles and other games on two massive video boards that will broadcast football games all weekend in an open-air, shaded venue left of the 17th hole with views of the 18th tee. Fans can enjoy a variety of food and cocktails, pick up tournament merchandise, play corn hole and other games.

VyStar Patriots Outpost: Those admitted with military tickets also have access to the VyStar Patriots Outpost near the eighth tee. The venue will include exclusive complimentary hospitality for military, veterans and their families with complimentary food & beverages.

The Hangar Bar: Located behind the ninth green, this new destination will feature Captain Morgan and Don Julio drinks along with soft seating and Adirondack chairs for picturesque sightlines.

Cigar Lounge: New to this year’s tournament, the Cigar Lounge offers fans the chance to sample premium cigars by Drew Estate and Island Girl Cigar Bar of Ponte Vedra Beach. The lounge is located near the Circle K ParTee Porch by No. 6 Green and will feature a variety of cigars for purchase.

The Swing Zone: Another new feature of the tournament will be a golf simulator near No. 6 green sponsored by Boxto and The Good Feet Store. Fans can test innovative shoe insert technology from The Good Feet Store in the simulator.

EverBank Kids Zone: Local between hole Nos. 6 and 7, the Kids Zone will offer interactive games and sensory activities for kids, with friendly animals from Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens making special appearances. The brand-new RS&H Family Pavilion, a 40×40 tented structure, will feature activations from the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens, Brooks Rehabilitation, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Jacksonville Icemen and Southwest Greens.

Family Lounge: Included in the EverBank Kids Zone is the air-conditioned Baptist Health and Wolfson Children’s Hospital Family Lounge, which includes WiFi, children’s games, a coloring table, stations for nursing mothers and changing tables. The lounge is attached to the tournament’s first aid station, also sponsored by Baptist Health.

Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream and TacoLu will have food trucks near the Kids Zone.

What special events will be held at Furyk & Friends?

Furyk Foundation Concert: With Brothers Osborne and Phillip Phillips, on Oct. 1 at Daily’s Place, beginning at 7 p.m. Gates will open at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the tournament website.

Champions Breakfast: Two members of their sports’ Halls of Fame, two-time Players Championship winner Fred Couples and former four-time World Series winning manager Joe Torre will appear at Timuquana on Oct. 4. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the breakfast will start at 9 a.m. Tickets are available at the tournament website.

Pro-Ams: Tournament pro-ams will be held on Sept. 30, Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 but are open only to pro-am participants. For information, visit the tournament website.

Fuyrk & Friends tournament guidelines

Fan code of conduct: Spectators are subject to expulsion and the loss of ticket privileges for the following breaches of etiquette — making rude, vulgar or other inappropriate comments of gestures; verbally or physically harassing players, volunteers, officials or spectators; districting players or any disruption of play; unruly, disruptive, unsafe or illegal behavior; and failing to follow the instructions of tournament officials, volunteers or security personnel.

Camera/photography policy: Still or video cameras not allowed during the competitive rounds.

Autograph policy: Autograph areas are located on-site and allow fans to see their favorite players up close with VIP access for all kids. Please visit the designated Fisher Tousey Autograph Zone located behind the 18th green.

Mobile device policy: All devices (smartphones, pads, pagers) must be on silent at all times. Calls may be placed or answered only in designated “Cell Phone Zones.” Texting is allowed in all areas. Devices may be used to capture video, audio or photos in all areas, but flash is not allowed. Content may be used for personal purposes, such as posting on social media, but not for commercial use. No live streaming or real-time coverage is allowed.

Inclement weather policy: In case of inclement weather spectators will be advised on electronic scoreboards. Spectators are encouraged to return to their vehicles or ticketed hospitality venues when this warning is given. Please do not presume that play will be canceled if it rains. Re-entry to the tournament will be allowed following a suspension of play.

Bag policy: Purses and small bags must be 6 by 6 by 6 inches or smaller. Clear bags must be 12 by 6 by 12 inches or smaller. Bags for medical necessities and diaper bags will be allowed but subject to inspection.

• Collapsible chairs, no cases.

• Binoculars, no cases.

• Portable radios with headsets.

• Mobile phones or PDAs – must be on silent.

• Medically necessary materials.

• Infant carrier, diaper bags and other baby supplies (infant must be with the carrier).

• Seat cushions without pockets, without cases.

• Reusable plastic or metal cups/bottles that are empty upon entry and exit, and cannot hold more than 32 ounces.

• Backpacks, camera cases, mesh bags, seat cushions, large tote bags, and binocular cases.

Furyk & Friends and the environment

Reusable cups: Ball aluminum reusable cups will be available to fans throughout the course. These logoed cups are an upgrade from the typical plastic or Styrofoam cups used at sporting events and, in addition to being recyclable, will also provide a lasting souvenir for tournament guests.

Water supply: Fans are also invited to bring their own refillable bottles and use free water stations located throughout the golf course. The complimentary refillable water stations will be located at the Tailgate Village near the 18th tee, at the Family Zone near the Circle K ParTee Porch, between the 9th and 18th greens and near the Duval Gate entrance.

Nease Green Team: A volunteer group led by students from the Nease High School DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) Chapter has formed a “Green Team” to help keep the course clean and help fans take advantage of recycling opportunities.

Charging up: There will be solar-powered cell phone charging stations and digital ticketing and spectator guides to reduce paper waste.

How fans can help: Constellation will bring back its fan activation display, Driving Sustainability Powered by Constellation, to engage fans in simple ways they can conserve energy and make a positive environmental impact every day.

Carbon neutral: The energy usage at the tournament will be offset by 100% wind RECs (renewable energy certificates) provided by Constellation.

One of the most historic clubs in America, the Timuquana Country Club celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2023. It was designed by World Golf Hall of Fame architect Donald Ross and has hosted the Furyk & Friends since 2021.

Timuquana also was the site of the 2002 U.S. Senior Amateur, the 2019 U.S. Women’s Four-Ball, USGA qualifiers and the Florida Open.

Timuquana has been renovated in the past by Robert Trent Jones, David Gordon, Bobby Weed and Bruce Hepner.

It’s 50,000-square foot clubhouse on the bank of the St. Johns River includes a fitness center, heated resort-style pool and full-service locker rooms. The club also has seven clay tennis courts, four clay pickleball courts and a floating dock.

Furyk & Friends charitable impact

All proceeds from the tournament benefit Northeast Florida charities through The Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation. More than $3.53 million was distributed in the tournament’s first three years, part of an overall commitment from Constellation.
